DOROTHY LUCILLE BOWLES, age 73, of Sikeston, died Monday, May 22, 2023, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born January 7, 1950, at Sikeston, to the late Milton Bowles and Victoria May Lynn Surface, she was a 1968 graduate of Charleston High School and went on to continue her education in dietary training.   Having lived in Sikeston most of her life, she worked in a number of nursing and care centers as a dietician.  She was a member of the Temple Baptist Church in Sikeston.

Surviving is her son, Keith (Terri) Bowles of Ranger, GA; her grandchildren, Nathan, Hannah and Justin; six great grandchildren; her sisters, Brenda Angell of Ranger, GA; Agatha Varnadore of Sikeston; and Molly Stidham Owens of O'Fallon; also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Milton Bowles.

Visitation will be from noon until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 25, 2023, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Jerry Adams will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
