Obituary

DOROTHY LETT CULLISON, age 93, a resident of Charleston died 5:05 p.m. on Friday, February 11, 2011, at the Charleston Manor.

She was born on December 28, 1917 in Bertrand to the late Elsworth Elbert and Ethel Lynch Lett Sr.
Having lived in Mississippi County her entire life, she was a member of the Bertrand United Methodist Church until moving her membership to the Charleston United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Charleston High School, attended William Woods College in Fulton, was a former member of the Charleston Eastern Star, a longtime member of the Molly French Garden Club, and enjoyed her membership in the Charleston Bridge Club.

She married James Marion Cullison who preceded her in death on February 2, 1987.

Surviving are one son and daughter in law, Jim and Lee Ann Cullison of Charleston; five grandchildren, Suzy Cullison (Clayt) Mason of Monroe, GA, Mary Cullison (Lance) Pruitt of Knoxville, TN, Dr. James W. (Wendy) Cullison of Carrollton, GA, and Michael Jones of Charleston, and Laura Jones of McKinney, TX; and ten great grandchildren, Cullison Mason, Nikkielee Mason, and Shelby Mason all of Monroe, GA, Riley Pruitt and Carson Pruitt of Knoxville, TN, James Foster Cullison and Waverly Cullison of Carrollton, GA, and Layton Jones, Courtney Jones, and Emma Jones of Charleston.

In addition to her parents and husband, one brother, Elsworth E. Lett, preceded her in death. .

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 14, 2010, at the United Methodist Church in Charleston. Rev. Dan Faust, pastor of the United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: John W.L. Goodin, Kenneth Vowels, Blair Moran, David Brewer, Reginald Young and Mark Dugan.
