Obituary
DOROTHY LAREDITH MIMS, Age 63, a resident of Poplar Bluff and formerly of Wyatt, died Monday, September 9, 2013, at the Doctors Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
Born May 7, 1950, at Cairo, IL, to the late Carl Virgil Taylor and Dorothy Lee Hutchison Taylor Fisher, she had lived in Wyatt a number of years where she was a member of the Wyatt Baptist Church. She had lived in Poplar Bluff that past number of years.
In 1972, she married Carl Lee Mims, who preceded her in death in 1993.
Surviving are three sons, Steven Ray Mims of Dexter; Christopher Mims of Bloomfield and Justin Mims of Wappapello; one brother, Leroy Taylor of Pekin, IL; five sisters, Frances Roxby of Peoria, IL; Barbara Green of Wyatt; Debra Cates and Faye "Ducky" Sandage both of Wappapello and Angela Jeffords of Fenton, MO; five grandchildren.
One brother, Wayne Taylor, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from noon until time for the funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Monday, September 16, 2013 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Tom Bridges of Bertrand, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
