DOROTHY LEE WILSON, age 71, a resident of East Prairie died at 11:53 pm on Saturday, October 9, 2010, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born on December 8, 1938 in East Prairie to the late Herschel and Emelene Patrick Faire. She had lived in East Prairie her entire life where she was a member of the First General Baptist Church. She had been employed with VNA as a In-Home Health Care provider until her retirement this year.
In February 1983 she married W.P. Wilson who preceded her in death on September 6, 2003.
Surviving are two sons, Anthony Adams of Licking, and Richard Gordon Adams of Kennett; two daughters, Gloria Jean Adams Johnson and Carla Sue Zook both of East Prairie; one step son, Kevin Dwayne Wilson of East Prairie, and Joy Carol Gower of the state of Texas; four brothers, Raymond Faire of Cape Girardeau, Fred Faire of Ozark, Delbert Faire of East Prairie, and Glenn Faire of Jackson; three sisters, Shelby Woods of Hornbeak, TN; Betty Douglas of Scott City, and Faye Waterhouse of Holt; also 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
One grandson, Phillip Shawn Bailey; two brothers, William Doyle "Bill" Faire and J.T. Faire; and two sisters, Ruth Clift and Lucille Rhodes preceded her in death.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the funeral hour at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Mike Johnson, pastor of the Full Gospel
Church in East Prairie, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Joey Bailey, Chris Bailey, Allen Hinshaw, Jackie Hinshaw, Roger Faire, and Tony Guthrie.
