William Edgar "Ed" Pratt, 86, died Monday, July 4, 2016, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born June 12, 1930 in Anadarko, Oklahoma to the late J. M. and Maude (Patton) Pratt. A veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War, he was a retired truck driver and carpenter and was member of the Bird's Corner Assembly of God Church. On August 23, 1985 he was married to Barbara A. (Bolden) Price at Blytheville and she survives of the home in Sikeston. Also surviving are 2 daughters, Denise Mayberry of Bernie and Lynette Pratt of Cape Girardeau; 2 step-sons, Scott (Tina) Price of St. Louis and Gregg (Susan) Price of Sikeston; 1 step-daughter, Angela (Kelly) Howe of Springfield, IL; 2 special nieces (Coeta (Chris) Drake and Cara Ellison; and 1 sister, Anita Payton of Colorado Springs, Colorado and was PaPa to 18 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 6 sisters. Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel Thursday, July 7, 2016 from 9 am until time for services at 11:00 am. Rev. Phil Tanner, pastor of Bird's Corner Assembly of God Church will officiate and burial will follow at 1:00 pm at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield with full military honors.
