Eddie Hicks

Charles Edward “Eddie” Hicks, age 74, of Ellsinore, MO and formerly of East Prairie, MO, died Sunday, May 24, 2026, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Born May 3, 1952, at East Prairie, MO, to the late Charles Randolph Hicks and Ruth Louise Parker Hicks, he was a 1970 graduate of East Prairie High School. Eddie had lived in Ellsinore the past several years.

Surviving are his nieces and nephews, Laurie Miller VanTuyl (Nathan), Faith Miller, Jaime Miller (Corey) Loomis, Jodie Thresher, Matt Thresher and Richard Summers; seven great nephews, three great nieces, three great great nephews and one great great niece. Also, a host of Hicks and Parker cousins.

In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Brenda Kay Miller and Charlene Louise Thresher and his nephew, Benjie Thresher.

In following Eddie's wishes, no public services will be held.

McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
