EDWARD LESTER BARKER, 61, died Thursday, August 1, 2019, at his home in Wyatt.

Born January 5, 1958, at Fulton County, IL, to the late Earl L. Barker and Dora Thompson Barker, at a young age he worked with his family on their farm. He went on to work in the agricultural field as a sales representative for farm machinery many years, including the Delta New Holland Company. Later, he went to work in commercial trucking where he transported hazardous material for an oil firm in Paducah, KY,  and was employed there until an accident forced his retirement. He was a member of the St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston.

On October 4, 1996, he married Theresa Ann Wrzesinski, and she survives of the home.

Also surviving are his son, Nathan Barker of Smithfield, IL; step children, George Wallace of Bremerton, WA and Rachel Wallace of Alice, Australia; his brothers, Earl (Janet) Barker and Erick Barker and a number of nieces and nephews. Also, surviving is his mother in law, Juanita Wrzesinski of Charleston.

Private committal rites will be held with Father David Dohogne, pastor of St. Henry Catholic Church of Charleston, officiating.
