Elizabeth S. Staggs, age 77, died Monday, April 21, 2025, at her home in East Prairie, surrounded by her loving family.

Born October 29, 1947, at Muskegon, Michigan, to the late Carl "Frank" Wiggins and Sunny Marie Absent Wiggins, she had lived in Mississippi County most of her life and had been employed at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston and the Charleston Manor.

On November 16, 1963, she married Clyde G. Staggs, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are her children, Sara Poore of Charleston, Peggy Butrum of Sikeston, Tammy Barber of East Prairie, Patty Corwin of Cape Girardeau, Edd Staggs of Perryville and Jarred Sneeringer of TX; ten grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; her sisters, Carla Hise, Jeannie Staggs and Frances Lowe; also, a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her father and mother, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Christopher Butrum, her brothers, Richard Wiggins and Gerald Wiggins and her sister, Nita Faye Johnson.

No services are scheduled at this time.
