Obituary

EMMA B. PINKERTON, age 91, formerly of Diehlstadt died at 9:15 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2010 at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.

She was born August 5, 1918 in Blodgett to the late Glen A. and Katherine L. Kraft Taylor. She had lived in Scott County her entire life, was a member of the Diehlstadt General Baptist Church and had worked as a sales clerk at Knights Department in Charleston for a number of years.

On August 29, 1942 she married Tony J. Pinkerton who preceded her in death on April 1, 1979.

Surviving are two sons and daughters in law, Glenn "Sonny" and Glenn Edith Pinkerton and James Kenneth "Kenny" and Pam Pinkerton all of Sikeston; three grandsons and two granddaughters in law, Chris and Stephanie Pinkerton of Sikeston, Blake Pinkerton of Kansas City, and Troy and Shannon Pinkerton of Linn, and four great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her twin brother, Emmett G. Taylor.

Friends may call at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston after 9:30 a.m. Thursday, January 28, 2010, until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Raymond Hannah, pastor of the First General Baptist in East Prairie, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Troy Pinkerton, Blake Pinkerton, Chris Pinkerton, Thomas Mock, David Belk, and Terry DeHart.
