Obituary

EUGENIA CONYERS BUSH, age 90, died at 6:00 p.m. Saturday, October 31, 2009, at her residence in Charleston.

She was born January 9, 1919 in East Prairie to the late Robert Lee and Florence Puckett Conyers. She had lived in Mississippi County her entire life where she had worked as a dental assistant for Dr. Harry Crowe. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Bertrand and had served as organist for many years. She willingly offered her time and talent serving as organist at McMikle Funeral Home for innumerable services through the years, and greatly enjoyed her time of volunteer service at the Charleston Nutrition Center.

On December 25, 1938 she married Robert A. Bush who preceded her in death on July 27, 1980.

Surviving are one niece and nephew-in-law, Diane and Jerry Risner of Kennett; one great niece, Sarah Thomason; one great great nephew, Dylan Bellomy of Kennett; and close friends.

One brother, Oscar Conyers, and one sister, Garnet Conyers, preceded her in death.

Friends may call after 10:00 a.m Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston until the Funeral Hour at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Geoffrey Posegate, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston, will officate.

Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
