Obituary

EULA FAY STROUD BROTHERS, Age 92, a resident of Morehouse, MO, died Sunday, March 16, 2014, at the Bertrand Nursing Center.

Born December 28, 1921, at Tyler, Missouri, to the late Elmos D. and Hallie C. Wilson Baty, she had lived in Morehouse most of her life where she was employed with Rauch Drug Store for over 30 years. She was a member of the Rauch-Spence Memorial United Methodist Church in Morehouse.

She first married Harold E. Stroud on May 22, 1939, and he preceded her in death. On December 5, 1983, she married Louie Virgil "Red" Brothers, who preceded her in death on April 11, 2013.

Surviving are two sons and daughters in law, Gene and Mary Stroud of Sikeston and Butch and Bonnie Stroud of Lady Lake, FL; one stepson, Terry Brothers of Sikeston; two step-daughters Judy (Jerry) Canter of Diehlstadt and Carla (Mike) Sellers of Munford, TN; six grandchildren, Jim Stroud, Michael Stroud, Lesa Polivick, Eugene (Jill) Stroud, Paula (David) Goins and Scott McClain; four great grandchildren, Sam Polivick, Allie Stroud, Finlee Stroud, Hannah and Zac Stinnett; four step grandchildren, Michael Haney, Andrew Canter, Chris (Carletta) Jackson and Trinity Houseman; and one step great grandson, Nathan Haney.

Also preceding her in death was one daughter, Linda Fay Stroud McClain, one daughter in law, Caroline Stroud, and one brother, Damon Boswell.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
