EULA LASTER LIMBAUGH, age 79, a resident of Granada Hills, CA formerly of Charleston, died Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Holy Cross Hospital in Mission Hills, CA.
She was born October 6, 1937 in Madrid Bend, KY to Winford Wesley and Hazel Lee Adams Laster who preceded her in death. Moving to Charleston in 1940, she graduated from Charleston High School in 1955, and was a graduate of the Baptist Memorial Hospital Registered Nurse program in St. Louis. She was the first RN to practice with the Ferguson Medical Group in Sikeston which opened in 1959. In 1967 she moved to California with her husband and lived in the Los Angeles area for 45 years where she worked as the Director of Nursing at Rinaldi Convalescent Hospital in Granada Hills until her retirement in 1997.
On April 16, 1967 she married Lawrence M. "Bing" Limbaugh who preceded her in death on April 9, 1998.
Surviving is one daughter, Mona Lee Limbaugh of Granada Hills, CA; two nieces, Sheila Cope Doberenz and family of Hughson, CA and Luanne Cope Solansky and family of Ceres, CA; two nephews, Greg Laster and family of Morehouse and Winnie Laster and family of Springfield.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin Cope and Randall Laster.
Family and Friends will assemble for Graveside Services at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston. Rev. George Nite, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Charleston, will officiate.
Interment will follow under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
