EVELYN SHOFFNER HOUSMAN, Age 74, formerly of Benton, MO, died Sunday, May 29, 2016 at her home in Bertrand.
Born February 18, 1942, at Deventer, MO, to the late William Emmett and Inez Pearson Shoffner, she had lived in Benton a number of years where she had been employed in restaurants most of her life and later with Proctor and Gamble and Burch Food Service.
On August 23, 1959, she married Claude Aaron Housman, who preceded her in death on April 13, 2005.
Surviving is three sons, Michael Housman of Benton; Billy Wayne Housman of Bertrand and Dustin Housman of Charleston; one daughter, Kay Bone of Charleston; her brothers, Ralph Shoffner, William Emmett Shoffner, David Shoffner, Frank Shoffner and T. J. Shoffner; 11 grandchildren; Chasity Harris, Patrick Pehm, Brandi Lawrence, Tyler Housman, Dylan Housman, Mark Housman, Laura Alexander, Larry Pulliam, Richard Bone, April Bone and Sherra Bone; also a number of great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Rhonda Marie Pehm; one brother, Michael Shoffner and two sisters, Annie Pehm and Aileen Hanor.
Family memorial services will be conducted at a later date.
