FARRELL DANIEL WILSON, SR., age 78, a resident of Sikeston, died Tuesday, August 25, 2020, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
He was born March 5, 1942, at Bloomfield, MO, to the late Woodrow Wilson and Virgie Cates Wilson and had lived in Sikeston most of his life. For over 38 years, he was employed with Lewis Furniture Company in Sikeston taking a break to serve in the U.S. Army and then returned to the Lewis company where he remained until he retired. He then opened Wilson's Rock Bottom Discount Store and operated it for 10 years. He attended the First Oneness Pentecostal Church at Morehouse.
On May 3, 1963, he married Mildred Ann Patterson, who survives of the home.
Also surviving is his son, Farrell Daniel "Danny" Wilson, Jr. and his wife Tanya of Cape Girardeau.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, James Wilson, Jerry Wilson and Darrell Wilson.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 27, 2020, at the First Oneness Pentecostal Church, 104 Poplar Street, Morehouse, where funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2020. Pastor Jimmy Vent, will officiate.
Interment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston.
