Florence Lena "Sissy" Parnell, age 84, of East Prairie, died Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the Aspire Senior Living Center in East Prairie.

Born May 11, 1939, at East Prairie, to the late Raymond Lee O'Dell and Mary Jane Rolan O'Dell, she had lived in East Prairie her entire life and was a home maker.

On May 6, 1980, she married Riley Thomas Parnell, Jr., who preceded her in death November 25, 1989.

Surviving are her children, Mary (Joseph) Gephart; William Parnell; Tim (Michelle) Herron and Kenny Herron; stepson, Paul Parnell; her grandchildren, Kirsten (Cody) Huff; Jayden Huus; Riley, Madalin and Kay-Leigh Parnell; Tim and JJ Herron; 10 great grandchildren; her brothers, Earl B. O'Dell of Fishers, IN and George O'Dell of Sikeston; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Debra Ann; a grandson, Jason Herron; and her brothers and sisters, Alvin Lee, Charles, Carl, Paul, and James"Bubby" O'Dell, Betty Sue Archie Tripp, Mary Louise Bell and Frances Jane O'Dell.

There is no visitation.

Family and friends may assemble at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery for graveside services.  Mike Johnson will officiate.

Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
