Obituary

FLOYD JUNIOR BROWN, age 78, died Sunday, September 26, 2021, at his home in Charleston.

He was born October 29, 1942, at Marble Hill, MO, to the late Woodie Brown and Lucy Belle Estes Brown, he had lived in Charleston most of his life and was employed with Burkhart Foam in Cairo, IL a number of years.   He was a member of the Bertrand Church of God of Prophecy. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

On August 10, 1963, he married Shirley Ann Johnson, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are his children, Johnny Lee Brown of Charleston; Susabelle Brown Crowly of Sikeston; Floyd Kelly (Robin) Brown and Jonathan Lee Brown both of Charleston; his sister and brothers, Dessie Gross of Charleston; Jerry Brown of Cleveland, OH; Stanley Brown and Jessie Brown both of Phelan, CA; 12 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; also, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, C.D. Brown and Ralph Brown and his sisters, Jurlene Burcks and Inavee Spoon.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 30, 2021, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Interment will follow in the Mount Zion Cemetery near Scopus under the direction McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
