Obituary
FRANCES MAUMEE JOHNSON, AGE 46, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at her home near Charleston.
Born January 20, 1964 at Fort Campbell, Kentucky to Lela Brown who survives of Talladega, Alabama and the late Narvel N. Johnson, she had lived in Mississippi County her entire life.
Surviving besides her mother are: one son, Anthony James Groves, Jr. of Sikeston; one daughter, Tonya Brooks Groves of Wyatt; two stepsons, Jeremy Bradley and Joshua Bradley both of Charleston; six brothers, Quarley Johnson of Wyatt; Clyde Summers of East Prairie; Jerry Summers, Russell Summers and David Summers all of Sikeston, and James Johnson of Talladega, AL; one sister, Ramona Brown of Talladega, AL; 14 grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one son, Christopher Quinton "Derdy" Groves; one sister, Catherine Johnson Hebenstreit; and her stepmother, Ruby Lee Summers Johnson.
There is no visitation.
Family and friends will assemble for graveside rites at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston. Winston Williford, will officiate.
McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
