Obituary
FRANCES SUE MORAN, age 65, a resident of Medford, OR, formerly of Charleston, passed away on Sunday, September 27th, 2015.
She was born February 3rd, 1950 to the late James B and Louise Atteberry Moran. Fran was a 1968 graduate of Charleston High School and of the University of Missouri in 1972. Prior to her illness, she was a classroom teacher and taught on an Indian Reservation in South Dakota and in the public school system in Oregon. Her last years of teaching was in Medford.
Fran was a wonderful sister, aunt and friend and an amazing and skilled teacher. Her intellect, wit and uniqueness will be missed always. She had a special love for children and dogs and they loved her in return.
Survivors include a brother, Blair Moran of Sikeston and a sister, Laurie Arnold of Fort Mill, South Carolina along with two nieces, Bethany Moran and Julia Arnold and one nephew, James Moran Arnold. Also, a special friend and caregiver, Aurellia Bolen of Medford.
The body was cremated and there will be a memorial service held at a later date under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
The family requests memorials be made to the Missouri Delta Medical Center Foundation, 1008 N. Main, Sikeston, MO 63801.
