FRANK RUSSELL WHITEHEAD, 72, resident of Midlothian, Virginia, and formerly of Charleston, MO, died on June 12, 2011, in Cape Girardeau.

He was born August 19, 1938 in Mississippi County, Missouri, to the late William C. and Lucy Pauline Farmer Whitehead.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Justin Whitehead of Washington D.C. Kevin Michael Whitehead of Midlothian, Virginia, and Mark Russell Whitehead of Midlothian, Virginia; two grandchildren, Jake Copeland and Ashby Lorili of Midlothian. Also surviving is his former wife Christine Whitehead; eight brothers: Charles D. Whitehead of Jefferson City, William C. Whitehead Jr. of Emporia Virginia, Arthur Jesse Whitehead of Sikeston, Missouri, George Irvin Whitehead of O'Lean Missouri, James F. Whitehead of Wyatt, Missouri, John D. Whitehead, Benjamin A. Whitehead, and Robert A. Whitehead all of Charleston.

Preceded in death by one brother, Richard W. Whitehead; and three sisters, Carla Jo Knaup, Jenny Lee Wedeking, and Nancy Susan Risko.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Monsignor Richard Rolwing of Cape Girardeau, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Ben Whitehead, Bob Whitehead, Irvin Whitehead, Jimmy Whitehead, Dick Knaup, Steven Gardiner and Thomas Knaup.
