FRANKIE JUNIOR BOWLES, age 81, a resident of Charleston, died Sunday, December 2, 2012 at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 20, 1931 in Ponotoc, MS to the late Ottice and Nannie Mary Blaylock Bowles. He had lived in Charleston since 1949 where he served with the Missouri National Guard then was employed in law enforcement with the Charleston Department Safety and the Mississippi County Sheriff's Department for 16 years. He worked with Terminix prior to establishing his own termite control business from which he retired in 1993.
Also surviving are three sons, Frank Stephen Bowles of Jackson, Larry Wayne Bowles of Charleston, and Samuel T. Passley of Orlando, FL; his former wife, Mae Marie Passley Bowles of Charleston; three brothers, Clifton Bowles of Tupelo, MS, Bill Bowles of Center Hill, FL, and Don Bowles of Ocoee, FL, one sister, Mary Elizabeth Vanadore of the state of Arkansas; 4 grandsons, 1 granddaughter, and 9 great grandchildren.
Two brothers, Charles Bowles and Troy Bowles, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, December 5, 2012.
Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
