FRANKIE JO SKELTON, Age 70, a resident of Charleston, died Saturday, August 23, 2014, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born January 27, 1944, at East Prairie, MO, to the late James Orville and Frances Jeanette Tyler Britt, she had lived in Mississippi County most of her life where she was employed with the Charleston R-1 School District at the Warren E. Hearnes Elementary School as a teaching assistant in the art department.

On June 24, 1961, she married Bob Skelton, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are two sons, Kevin(Jane) Skelton of Oklahoma City, OK and Keith (Sondra) Skelton of Charleston; one brother, James Britt, Jr. of Jackson, MO; four sisters, Joyce Barker of Sunset, TX; Betty McCarver of St. Charles, MO; Patty Britt of East Prairie, MO and Orvellene Gage of Charleston; one grandson, Clay Skelton of Charleston.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 28, 2014. Michael Moyers of Sikeston will officiate. Bob Graham, retired Superintendent of Charleston Schools will offer a eulogy.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be; David Oliver, Jackie Whiteside, Bruce Ray, Jeff Gage, Mike Skelton and Darrell Watson.
