FRED EUGENE 'BOOB' BENDER, Age 75, died Monday, November 16, 2009 at his home in Wyatt.

Born September 18, 1934 in the Crosno Community of Mississippi County, MO to the late Charles W. and Lucy McKinney Bender, he had lived in Mississippi County his entire life where he was employed at Small Lumber Company from 1957 until 1997 and then with the City of Wyatt until he retired in February of 2009.

Surviving are: One son, Gary Bender of Grandin, MO; three daughters and one son in law, Charlotte Bender of Grandin, MO; Vickie Bender of Granite City, IL and Melissa and Mike Medlock of Wyatt; two brothers, Fenton Bender of Malden and Jimmy Keen of Doniphan; one sister, Mary Burke of Charleston; 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Freddie E. Tubbs and Floyd Lee Bender; three brothers, Delmar "Hop" Bender, Floyd "Tuffy" Bender and Charles Bender and by two sisters, Faye "Dobie" Hardy and Ruth Ann "Sis" Griggs.

Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2009 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Kenneth Gibson, pastor of the New Covenant Pentecostal Holiness Church at Wyatt, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Jordan Michael Medlock, Matthew Dillon Medlock, Joshua Quentin Medlock, Jeff Marbry, Steve Wright and Corey Medlock.
