Charles Frederick "Fred" Roberts, 59, died Thursday, July 13, at his home in Miner.  He was born in Encino, California, July 1, 1958 to the late Clarence Allen and Marylyn Antionette (Malcolm) Roberts.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, had been a resident of the Sikeston area for the past 40 years, had served as a fireman at Miner and was a mechanic at Hope Auto Electric.   He had married Carolyn S. Curtis April 21, 1989 in Sikeston.  He is survived by 1 son, Billy Roberts of Sikeston; 1 daughter, Stephanie P. Roberts of the home; 1 grandson; and two sisters Kathleen Malcolm  of Chewelan, Washington and Sharlene Roberts of Florida.  He was preceded in death by 1 sister.  Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 10 am until 12 noon on Tuesday July 18.  Funeral Services will be held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield at 1:00 pm with Rev. Randy Eskew, pastor of New Beginnings Church in East Prairie.   Full military Honors will be conducted and pallbearers will be Stephanie Roberts, Curtis Roberts, Gregg Jones, Mark Yant, Jason Curtis and Scottie Parks.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at blanchardfuneral.com.
