Fred Schuerenberg

Frederick Harland Schuerenberg, 89, of Sikeston, MO, died Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born December 11, 1935, in Kewanee, MO, to the late Lynual Ashton Schuerenberg and Agnes Harlene Sheridan Schuerenberg, he graduated from Lilbourn High School and obtained a bachelor degree from Arkansas State University. After a career in agri-chemical sales, he became the manager of Schuerenberg Family Farms. A lifelong Methodist, he later became a member of St. Francis Xavier Church in Sikeston.

On February 28, 1960, Fred married Kay Stuart of Batesville, AR. They had two children, Lizabeth Kay (Beth) and Lynn Stuart (Lynn). He was preceded in death by his son Lynn (1999) and his wife Kay (2010).

In 2012, Fred married Nora Gray Fuchs.

He is survived by one daughter, Beth Schuerenberg Ward (Joe) of Murray, KY, and one granddaughter, Lexie Ashton Ward of Nashville, TN.

Fred is also survived by his wife Nora (Nonie); John William Fuchs, Jr. (Jessie) of Little Rock, AR; Garth Fuchs Smith (Ben) of Sikeston, MO; four grandchildren, Golden Daye Fuchs, John (Jack) William Fuchs III, Reed Frederick Fuchs, and Dorothy Elizabeth Smith; and very special friend Tyrone White.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 20, 2025, at St. Francis Xavier Church in Sikeston from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. A funeral mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Father Colby Elbert will serve as celebrant.

Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at Carson's, 104 East Front Street, Sikeston, MO.
