Freda Mae Holden Moore, 86, died Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born in Sikeston on October 25, 1934, to the late Alva and Ruth Ellen Holden.

Raised in the Nazarene faith, she was a bookkeeper for many years for the REA Electric Cooperative. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Henry Meldrum Post 114, and enjoyed Saturday afternoon card games with her good friends in New Madrid.

On February 15, 1953, she married J.D. Moore of Sikeston. He preceded her in death in July 2012.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Rae Moore; two brothers, Alva and Paul Holden; and four sisters, Winona Fetters, Marie Little, Ruby Mocabee and Maxine Lambert.

She is survived by one son, Jiggs (Brenda) Moore of Sikeston; one daughter, Leslie (Rick) Taylor of Sikeston; five grandchildren, Jeremy Taylor, Jennifer Taylor, Ben Moore, Jacob Moore, Tyler Moore, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A family visitation will be held at McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a graveside service at the Matthews City Cemetery with Michael Mocabee officiating. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jeremy Taylor, Ben Moore, Tyler Moore, Jacob Moore, Aaron Hicks and Alex Hicks.

McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston is in charge of all arrangements.
