Gary Wayne Heppe, age 53, died Sunday, August 28, 2022, at his home in Bertrand, MO.

He was born June 11, 1969, at East Prairie, MO, to the late Charles E. Heppe and Linda L. Northern Heppe.  Gary had lived in Bertrand most of his life.   He had worked at DeWitt Company in Sikeston for over 25 years. Gary was a generous soul that would help out in any way he could.  Gary was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend.  He valued family above all else.

Surviving is his son, William Edward (Kayla) Heppe; his daughter, Daniel Nichole (Justin Vaughn) Jackson; his brothers and sisters, Charles "Bub" Heppe, Jr., Frank Heppe, Barbara Matney and Donna Heppe; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Evelyn Heppe VanWinkle and Alice Jones.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 2, 2022, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Cremation will follow with a private burial at a later date at the Oak Grove Cemetery.
