Gary Nicholas Kindred, Sr., 69, a resident of Blodgett, died Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Missouri Delta Medical Center. He was born Nov. 24, 1944 in Sikeston to the late Gilbert "Nick" and Mary Naile (Rose) Kindred. A lifelong resident of this area, Gary had worked in sales for Mid-South Office Supplies and later for several years at OTASCO. On Jan. 9, 1965 he married Carol Diane Reeves in Sikeston and she preceded him in death Dec. 16, 2013. One sister Sandra Kindred also preceded in death. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Gary, Jr. & Teresa Kindred of Blodgett and Phillip & Christi Kindred of Rogersville; 1 brother Tommy Kindred of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; and 1 sister, Betty Williams of Jackson; and 5 grandchildren, Heather, Layne, Shelby and Dylan Kindred and Jason Goss. Friends may call from 5 till 8 pm today at Blanchard Funeral Chapel. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Friday, June 27, in Blanchard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Todd Crumley, pastor of the Church of God of Prophecy in Sikeston officiating. Burial will follow at the Blodgett Cemetery.
