Gary George Sorensen, 73, died Saturday, Oct.. 25, 2014 at his residence in Sikeston. He was born Sept. 1, 1941 in Bruce, Wisconsin to the late Arthur and Allison (LaBlanc) Sorensen. A resident of Sikeston since 1991 he had previously resided in Ft. Myers, Florida with Sabrina (Douglas) Smith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam Era and had worked as manager of a pizzeria and as an auto body repairman. Survivors include 3 sons, Eric Sorensen of Michigan, Patrick Smith of Bernie and Michael Smith of Sikeston; 6 daughters Maria Sorensen, Pamela Sorensen, Lauren Sorensen,, Katie Sorensen, and Carrie Sorensen all of Michigan and Kasey Smith of Poplar Bluff. 12 grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers. Memorial Services will be held in the Interment Chapel at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield at 10:00 am Friday Oct. 31 with Rev.
