GEARY STEPHEN YANT, age 71, of Sikeston, died Sunday, September 11, 2022, at the Clearview Nursing Center in Sikeston.

He was born March 9, 1951, at Sikeston, MO, to the late Travis Yant and Betty Thompson Mitchell Yant and was a 1969 graduate of Sikeston High School.   He had lived in Sikeston his entire life where he was a self-employed carpenter and was a member of the Sikeston Jaycees.

Surviving is his daughter, Kristi (Kevin) Hensley of Sikeston; his stepdaughter, Becky Barber of Kansas City, MO; and four grandchildren, Wyatt Hensley, Whitney Hensley, Gage Barber and Gracie Barber.

The family will host a Celebration of Life from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, September 18, 2022, at the Sponsors Building on the Sikeston Jaycee Rodeo Grounds.
