Gena Ann Sloan Vick, age 69, died Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at her home in Morley, MO.

Gena was born into an Air Force family at Dover, Delaware, daughter of Duval Morris Sloan and Junell High Sloan on February 16, 1954, and as a young lady would move with the family wherever they would be stationed.   Gena studied Culinary Arts in Kansas City, MO and after marrying would settle in Ozark, MO and live there for over 40 years.   Gena retired from a long career in the grocery business.  After the death of her husband, she then relocated to Morley, MO.

She was married to Robert Harold "Bob" Vick, who preceded her in death on November 2, 2019.

Surviving is her sister, Susan Sloan (William) Hatcher of Oakland, TN; her nephews, Jason Roberts and Jacob Roberts; and her great nieces and nephews, Elijah Gray Roberts, Madeline Elaine Roberts, Evan Sloan Roberts, Ian Duval Roberts and Elliott Elaine Roberts. Also, a longtime friend, Tamara Anne Ireland of Springfield, Mo.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Duval Morris (Chip) Morris, Jr.

Private family services will be held.
