Obituary

GEORGE WAYNE GENTLES, JR., 47 of East Prairie, died Friday, February 14, 2020, at his home in East Prairie.

Born November 20, 1972, at Sikeston, MO, to George Wayne Gentles, Sr. and Karen Leigh Oliver Gentles, who survive of East Prairie, he was a 1991 graduate of East Prairie High School. He had been employed as an over the road truck driver a number of years and most recently went to work for MoDOT. He was a member of Full Gospel Church in East Prairie.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Tyler Wayne (Kinleigh) Gentles and his daughter, Meghan Gail (Levi) Moore all of Sikeston; his brother, Michael Blake (Ashleigh) Gentles of Springfield; grandchildren, Tayton Wayne Gentles and Maci Klair Gentles; and his nephew, Luke Michael Gentles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Margaret Woods Manus, Curtis Oliver and James Robert and Jean Eulene Pugh Gentles.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, February 16, 2020, at the Full Gospel Church in East Prairie where funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 17, 2020. Eric McGruder and Mike Johnson, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Pallbearers will be: Tyler Gentles, Michael Gentles, Levi Moore, Drew Harbison, Steven Baker and Artie Hicks.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Luke Gentles and Tayton Gentles.
