GERALDINE PERRY, age 90, died Friday, December 5, 2014, at her residence in Bertrand.

She was born October 9, 1924 in Vanduser to the late Roy and Elsie Roberts Winters. A longtime resident of Bertrand, she was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Sikeston. She worked for Missouri Utilities for 40 years then following the company's merger, worked with Union Electric until her retirement in October 1, 1984.


On April 2, 1942 she married Charles William Perry who preceded her in death on September 2, 2014.

Also surviving are five children, Regina (John) Irick of Orangeburg, SC, Karen (Charles) Julian of Chesapeake, VA, Charles W. (Syndi) Perry III of Benton, Gary R. (Teri) Perry of St. Charles, and Casey (Melissa) Perry of Nashville, TN; two brothers, Donald Winters of St. Louis, Ivan Winters of Columbus, IN ; and one sister, Linda Bryant of Williamsport, IN; eight grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Timothy Jay Perry, one granddaughter, LaDonna Gay Irick; four brothers, Gene Winters, Kenneth Winters, Bobby Winters, and Benson Winters.

Visitation will be held at the McMikle Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 9, 2014, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Joe McCullough of Cape Girardeau will officiate.

Pallbearers will be Charles Julian, Josh Perry, Ronnie Hesselrode, Lynn Hesselrode, Rocky Walker, Rocky Walker Jr.

Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
