GERALDINE "JERRY" LAFAYE WILLIAMS, age 80, died at 12:35 a.m., Thursday, June 18, 2009 at her residence in rural Sikeston.
She was born November 28, 1928 in East Prairie to the late Robert and Hattie Mae Jeffries Nunn. She was a graduate of East Prairie High School and had lived in Mississippi County most of her life until moving to Scott Co. a few years ago where she had been employed with Delmar Alcorn Real Estate Agency.
She was married to Ely Harrison Williams who preceded her in death on July 23, 1991.
Surviving are one son and daughter in law, Rick and Sue Williams of Benton; two daughters and sons in law, Patrice and Mike Christian of East Prairie, and Beverly and Roger Rice of Sikeston; one sister, Sue Bard of East Prairie; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson that is to be born in November.
One daughter, Jennifer Lynn Williams; one great grandson, Kerrington Blaik Moss; two brothers, Robert Nunn and Willie B. "Bill" Nunn; and one sister, Margie Jackson, preceded her in death.
Friends may call after 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, June 22, 2009, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston until the funeral hour at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Travis Watson of Charleston will officiate.
Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery under the direction of McMikle Funeral Home.
