Obituary

GLENNA BROWN TAYLOR, Age 88, a resident of Wyatt, died Thursday, January 20, 2011 at the Charleston Manor.

Born October 30, 1922, in the Birds Point Community of Mississippi County, MO, to the late Emory and Rosa Etta Baugh Brown, she had lived in Wyatt her entire life and was graduate of the Diehlstadt High School. She had been employed as a clerk at the Wyatt Post office a number of years and was a member of the Wyatt United Methodist Church until its closing at which time she became a member of the United Methodist Church in Charleston.

On April 27, 1944, she married Mason Clay Taylor, who preceded her in death on November 10, 1996.

Surviving are: one daughter and son in law, Jeanne and Gary Adkisson of East Prairie; two sisters, Betty Brown and Gladys Sevic both of Wyatt; four grandchildren, Rick and Kathy Galemore; Steven and Amy Galemore, Kimberly and Shannon Bowles and Corey and Meredith Adkisson; 8 great grandchildren; Taylor Galemore, Jordan Galemore, Matthew Galemore, Nick Galemore, Mallory Galemore, Mason Taylor, Cody Bowles, Trevor Bowles and Nolan Adkisson.

Preceding her in death were one brother, Ernest Brown and one sister, Florence Carr.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday, January 22, 2011 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, January 23, 2011. Rev. Jim Dace, pastor of the Nelson Memorial United Methodist Church in East Prairie, will officiate. Kenneth Gibson, pastor of the New Covenant Pentecostal Holiness Church in Wyatt will offer a prayer.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Rick Galemore, Steven Galemore, Corey Adkisson, Ernie Brown, Bart Carr and Larry Quade.

Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor's Choice.
