GRACE GLORIA VOEGTLIN PARKER, Age 87, formerly of Mississippi County, MO, died Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the home of her daughter in Tupelo, MS.

Born January 25, 1924, at St. Louis, MO, to the late Reinhart and Grace Gloria Richardson Voegtlin, she had lived in Mississippi County a number of years moving to Tupelo, MS 25 years ago. She had been employed as a certified nurse's aide at Sells Rest Home in Matthews, MO a number of years and also the Temple Care Center at Temple, Texas. She was of the Baptist Belief.

She was married to Russell Lavern Walker who preceded her in death.

Surviving are: three sons, Russell Walker of Tupelo, MS; Jay Walker of Marston, MO and Mark Walker of Huntington, TX; six daughters, Carol Bettinger of Dexter, MO; Janet Vines and Shirley Vines both of Tupelo, MS; Cynthia Hurt of Phoenix, AZ; Dianne Ivy of New Madrid, MO and Margaret Aragona of San Diego, CA; three brothers, Charles Voegtlin and Ralph Voegtlin both of St. Louis, MO and Russell Voegtlin of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Delores Lewis of St. Louis, MO; 29 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Gloria Lavern Walker-Gossett; one granddaughter, Michaela Danielle Masson and one son in law, Roy Bettinger.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2011 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, MO. Rev. Ted Wimberley, pastor of the New Bethel Baptist Church near Charleston, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Nick Walker, David Walker, Steven Coffer, Doye Smith, Kenny Garrett, Mike Vines, Bobby Vines, Christopher Carter, Doug Carter and Sammy Cunien.
