Grace D. Peel, 81, formerly of Nixa, MO, died at 11:05 pm Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
She was born Aug. 21, 1931 in Goffstown, New Hampshire to the late George L. and Elsie DeEtta (Shirky) Dawson. She had been a draftsman for the Corps of Engineers. On Nov. 10, 1956 she was married to Charles Earl Peel in Goffstown, N.H. and he survives.
She is also survived by one brother, Don Dawson of New Hampshire; 2 brothers-in-law, John Glen Peel of Sikeston and Darrell Peel of Mt. Home, Arkansas and by one sister-in-law, Imogene Hatley of Grapevine, Texas. Visitation will be at Blanchard Funeral Chapel from 9 am until 10 am Monday, May 6. Graveside rites will be at 11 am Monday at Missouri Veterans State Cemetery at Bloomfield with Rev. David Ross, pastor of First Baptist Church of Sikeston officiating.
Pallbearers will be First Baptist Church Deacons. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Missouri Delta Medical Center, St. Jude Childrens Center or the charity of the donor's choice.
