Obituary

GROVER LEE MORROW, Age 92, of Diehlstadt, MO, died Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

Born June 29, 1932, at Red Bay, AL, to the late Richard H. Morrow and Mattie Pearl Strickland Morrow, he had lived in Diehlstadt most of his life.  He was a longtime mechanic with Thermo King until his retirement and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bertrand.

On April 24, 1954, he married Mary Ann Warren, who survives of the home.

Also surviving are his son, Chester Morrow of Sikeston and Eric Morrow of Diehlstadt; grandson, Chad (Karen) Fisher of Dutchtown; great grandson, August Fjsher of Dutchtown; his brothers, Roger (Glenda) Morrow of Benton; Danny (Mary) Morrow and Mike (Penny) Morrow of Wappapello, MO; his sisters, Debbie (Mike) Hornback and Theresa (David) Jones of Morley, MO; also, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter in law, Judy Bess Morrow; his brothers and sisters, Ottis B. Morrow, Garland Morrow, Richard R. Morrow, Bonnie Romanowski, Donna Morrow Sevic and Ritta Sue Belt.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 16, 2024, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Rev. Gerald Collier will officiate.

Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.

Pallbearers will be Chad Fisher, Kevin Morrow, William Morrow, Tony Belt, Paul Swiney and David Jones.
