Gwen Webb

Gwendolyn C. "Gwen" Webb, age 75, died Sunday, July 17, 2022, at her home in Bertrand, surrounded by her family.

Born January 27, 1947, at Henderson, KY, to the late Charlie Benjamin Fears and Mamie Azilee Birdsong, she had lived in Bertrand most of her life where she was a member of the First Baptist Church.   For over 25 years she was employed with the Brown Shoe Company at Charleston until its closing.

On June 13, 1963, she married James Ray Webb, who preceded her in death on November 1, 1991.

Surviving is her daughter, Rebecca (Nelson) Guth, of Sikeston; her granddaughter, Jessica Leigh Lenderman; great grandchildren, Briella Nicole Wilkerson and Kye Landen Moore; her sisters, Ava Tyanne Wagner of Morehouse and Deborah Noella (Jeff) Moreland of Rogers, AR; also, her special companion, Frank Cohen.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jacqueline Nicole Lenderman; and her brothers and sisters, Harry Barnes, Bonnie Campbell, Buddy Fears, Charlene Mitchel and Renee Cohen.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston where funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2022. Rev. Gerald Collier, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Bertrand, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston.
