HAROLD C. BILLINGTON, age 87, died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at his residence in Bertrand, MO.

He was born September 3, 1921, at Lilbourn, Mo., to the late Samuel E. and Edna Sheridon Billington. He lived in West Columbia, TX over 47 years where he was employed with the Dow Chemical Company as a brick mason. In 1997 he moved to Bertrand where he became a member of the Bertrand United Methodist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.

On April 5, 1947, he married Marcella D. Neal who preceded him in death on July 3, 2004.

Surviving are: one daughter, Noma Fay Edwards of Fall City, Wa., two brothers, Marion Billington of Kevil, Ky. and Burl E. Billington of Scroatia, Ny., 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and many special nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Carline Ruth "Carly" Riley and by three brothers, James A. Billington, Earl W. Billington and Charles W. Billington.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Wednesday, June 10, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m.. Lois McRill, pastor of the Bertrand United Methodist Church, will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Sikeston City Cemetery at Sikeston, Mo., under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
