BUD JOBE
HAROLD LLOYD "BUD" JOBE, Age 82, a resident of Sikeston and formerly of Bertrand, died Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born October 19, 1927, in Morley, Missouri to the late Harvey Lee and Lillie Mae McKinley Jobe, he had lived in Bertrand most of his life where he co-owned and operated the Bertrand Grocery Store with his brother Curtis. From 1949 until his retirement, he was a self employed carpenter with his father and brothers. He was a member of the Cornerstone Church at Bertrand and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
On June 14, 1958, he married Clarice Evelyn Braschler who preceded him in death on November 9, 1999.
Surviving are: one son, Dennis Jobe of Midlothian, TX; one daughter, Brenda Custer of Troy, IL; three brothers, Curtis Jobe, Eddie Jobe and Bill Jobe all of Sikeston; one sister, Marilyn Vanover of Bertrand; four grandchildren. Also, a special friend Joann Denton of Sikeston.
One son, Keith Wayne Jobe, preceded him in death November 20, 1992. Also preceding him in death were two sisters, Patricia Ann Hicks and Joyce Beasley O'Guin.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston where funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, August 12, 2010. David Cullen, pastor of the Cornerstone Church at Bertrand, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Steven Jobe, Justin Jobe, Jonathan Custer, Mike Jobe, Ronald Beasley and Kenny Denton.
