Hazel Marie Shrull, known to many as Grammie, age 84, passed away on January 4, 2025, at her home in Sikeston, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born May 8, 1940, in Wardell MO, to the late Harry Stanley and Effie Mae Head Bell.
On September 18, 1976, in Springfield, TN., she married Randall D. Shrull who preceded her in death on March 22, 2018. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby Joe, Sam Ed, Larry, and one sister, Mary Ann, two sons, Doyle W. Shrull and Jeffrey D. Green and two sons-in-law, Robert "Bobby" Seiler and Chuck Hampton.
Grammie attended high school in Wardell where she enjoyed playing on the women's basketball team. She later moved to Sikeston and was a 1958 graduate of Sikeston High School. She was a member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church and attended faithfully, loving the lasting friendships she made with the ladies of her Sunday school class.
She is survived by 5 children. Robin (David) Hart and Michelle (Mark) Williams, all of Sikeston, Kim Hampton (Guy Hulen) of Columbia, MO, Karen (Jeff) Fagan of Russellville, KY, Kelly (Thomas) Lomack of San Antonio, TX, 11 grandchildren,15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She loved them all "a bushel and a peck".
She is also survived by Jerry Green, of Murray, KY, the father of her children Jeff, Robin and Michelle.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 194 S. Interstate Drive, Sikeston, MO. Brother John Tarter will officiate.
Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston, MO.
Arrangements under the care of McMikle Funeral Home of Sikeston, MO.
The pallbearers are Andrew Seiler, Chris Hart, Clay Matthews, Dustin Hampton, Aiden Seiler and Austin Tarter.
