Helen Bridges, age 77 of Bertrand, Missouri, passed away at 2:33 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2014 at her residence.

Helen was born December 26, 1936 in Edwardsville, Illinois, daughter of the late Louis Blumberg and Edna (Sutton) Blumberg.

Helen was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mounds, Illinois where her husband is serving as the present pastor. Helen and her husband, Rev. Tom Bridges have been affiliated with several churches over the years, serving churches in southern Illinois and southeast Missouri with their ministry. Helen was also a sales associate for 23 years at Walmart in Sikeston, Missouri.

Survivors include her husband, Rev. Tom Bridges of Bertrand, Missouri; 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Tom L. and Carol Bridges of Tamms, Illinois and Chuck Bridges of Benton, Missouri; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Helen Bridges will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Jones Funeral Home Tamms, Illinois with Rev. Buddy Walls officiating. Interment will follow in the St. John's Cemetery rural Dongola, Illinois.

Friends may call Tuesday between 4-8 p.m. at the Jones Funeral Home Tamms, Illinois.
