Obituary
HELEN LOUISE HOPPER, Age 83, died Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at her home in Charleston.
Born October 4, 1934, in Mississippi County, MO, to the late Thomas Ira and Jimmie Dale Cozart Burkett, she had lived in Charleston most of her life and had been employed as an L.P.N. at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston and other area health facilities for over 40 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bertrand.
On February 21, 1955, she married Chester O. Hopper, who survives of the home.
Also surviving is one son, Mark Hopper of St. Louis; two daughters, Louella Davis of Henderson, KY and Tammy Hopper of Charleston; one sister, Brenda (Harvey) Cooper of Sikeston; two grandchildren, Tonya Marshall and Tiffany Clements both of Henderson, KY and 6 great grandchildren.
Nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides her parents, one grandson, Benjamin Thomas "Ben" Hopper, preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 14, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Bertrand.
Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
