Helen Alberta "Sue" Wise, 85, formerly of Sikeston, died at 5:00 am, Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Brakebill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.
She was born October 3, 1926 at Matthews to the late Albert & Effie (Widows) Cox.
A lifelong resident of the Sikeston area she was a charter member of the First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston and a 50 year member and Past Worthy Matron of Order of Eastern Star Chapter #137. She had been a waitress at the old South Y Restaurant in Sikeston and later a machine opereator at the Oran Hat Factory.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Danny Marshall of Corryton, Tennessee; two stepdaughters and one son-in-law; Charlotte Wise of Logansport, Indiana and Marlene & Rick Lopez of Dallas, Texas. Seven Grandchildren, Amy, Amanda, Amber, Gino, Deanna, Jessica and Jamie; and by 16 greatgrandchildren; Paully, Meghan, Josiah, Libertie, Katelyn, Kalon, Cody, Tye, Rozelynn, Adrian, Andrue, Kaylob, Hayden, Maggie, Liam and Bailey.
Friends may call from 5 until 8 pm Tuesday Aug. 28, at Blanchard Funeral Chapel where Eastern Star Rites will be conducted at 7:30 pm by O.E.S. Chapter #137.
Funeral Seervices will be held at 10:30 am Wednesday, Aug. 29 at Blanchard Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dewayne Maynard, Pastor of First Assembly of God Church in Sikeston and Rev. Steve Bilsland, Assistant Pastor of Calvary Assembly Church in Dunwoody, Georgia officiating.
Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Leroy Price, Gino Lopez, Blake Rister, Karl Klemmeck, Chad Price, Alex Roach, Rick Green and Paul Gillean.
