Ilar Davis Baldridge, 85, of Troy, Tn., formerly of Charleston, MO, went to join his life-long love and wife, Marene, on February 6, 2018.
He was born January 1, 1933 to the late Charles Guy Baldridge and Anna May (Davis) Baldridge. He married Marene (Wallace) Baldridge March 24, 1956. She died November 21, 2015.
Ilar proudly served his country serving 8 years in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Duncan during the Korean War. He was an avid hunter and loved to fish and was very active in dog shows in which he won many trophies. He also worked in a body shop and set up mobile homes for Joe Galemore while living in Missouri and also was a grounds keeper for many people in Charleston.
Ilar loved to smile and had a happy heart and beautiful soul and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by three sisters, Rachel Watson of Mississippi, Faye Baldridge of Kentucky and Hazel Pierce formerly of Troy, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
He is also preceded in death by one sister, Delzie Ross, and two brothers, Wayne Baldridge and Glen Baldridge.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m until 12:00 p.m. Friday, February 9, 2018 at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Missouri.
Graveside rites will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery at Bloomfield, MO., with full military honors.
