DORIS IMOGENE HODGES MORRIS, AGE 92, A resident of Charleston, died Sunday, February 22, 2015, at the York Place Bertrand Nursing Facility in Bertand, MO.
Born August 18, 1922, at Benton, IL, to the late Glennie and Ethel McMillan Hodges, she had lived in Wyatt a number of years where she was a member of the Wyatt Baptist Church. She then moved to Charleston where she was a member of the First Baptist Church before moving to the Bertrand Nursing Home.
She is survived by two sons and daughters –in-law, Dennis Ray (Sally) Hodges of Sikeston, MO and Anthony Dale (Cheryl) Morris of Charleston, MO; one daughter, Doris Imogene Glodjo of Bowling Green, KY; one sister, Addie Mae Murphy of St. Louis; her grandchildren, Billy E. Glodjo, Darrin E. Glodjo and Brad E. Glodjo all of Bowling Green, KY; Teresa (Jim) Elser and Sharon (Zach) Smith both of Sikeston, MO; Adam Morris of New Orleans, LA and Jill (Justin) Day of Dyersburg, TN; also 12 great grandchildren, Sally Vinson, Eric Vinson, Amy Ross, Kaitlyn Smith, William Glodjo, Kira Glodjo, Nathan Glodjo, Kenna Glodjo, Daniel Glodjo, John Hays, Charlee Day and Chase Day, and a number or nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Mark Eugene Glodjo; her son-in-law, Billy (Bobby) Glodjo and her sister, Gladys Johnson.
Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 25, 2015, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston. Jon Archie, pastor of Elm Street Baptist Church of Charleston, will officiate.
Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be: Darrin Glodjo, Brad Glodjo, William Glodjo, Adam Morris, Zachary Smith, Jim Elser and Eric Vinson.
