Iva Jane Montgomery

Born November 1, 1924, at Reno, Arkansas, to the late Luther Elmer Banks and Thena Rachel Cates Banks, she had lived in Doniphan, MO and later in the St. Louis area. Iva had worked with the Brown Shoe Company and then as a beautician at Bridgeton a number of years. She had attended the Church of Christ her entire life, including the congregation at Hazelwood, MO.
On November 30, 1968, she married Richard Anthony Montgomery, who preceded her in death May 22, 2009.
Surviving is a brother-in-law, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband and parents, Iva was preceded in death by her brothers, Alvin Luther Banks and Everett Henry Banks, and her sister, Judy Banks Williams.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (noon), Friday, February 18, 2022, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m., Friday, at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery near Charleston.
Interment will follow under the direction of the McMikle Funeral Home of Charleston.
