Ivan D. Moore, age 85, died Monday, January 24, 2022, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born July 15, 1936, at Hornersville, MO, to the late Carl and Pearl Trentham Moore. Ivan was a truck driver for most of his life until he retired and took an interest in woodworking. Ivan could make anything. He loved to go camping and travel, especially to Branson, that was his favorite. Ivan had a great love for reading, westerns - to be exact, he read thousands of them.

On October 1, 1983, he married the love of his life, Lawanna Lohmann, who survives of the home.

Also surviving is his son, Rhett (Donna) Moore; four daughters, Stacy (Paul) Venable, Tracy (Mark) Blackburn, Wendy (Herbie) Gilder, and Rebecca Ethridge; two sisters, Wilma Butler and Kathryn Morgan; 7 grandchildren and six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Leon Moore and one sister, Viola Tibbles.

Family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. until the funeral hour at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 28, 2022, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Sikeston. Rev. Douglas Breite will officiate.

Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m., in the Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, MO.
