Ivy Marie Booker, age 82, a resident of Charleston, MO, resided at Sikeston Convalescent Center, died Friday, August 30, 2024, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born November 23, 1941, in New Orleans, LA, to the late Leslie Williams and Jessie Mae Lathen.  Ivy was of the Catholic belief.  She graduated from Cairo High School and went on to become an LPN.  She worked at the Charleston Manor and Chaffee hospital for a number of years.  Ivy loved being outside in her flower beds and cherished her cats and dogs.

Surviving are sons; William Booker of Baton Rouge, LA and Christopher Booker of Charleston, MO, her daughters; LaFondra Parks of St. Louis, MO and Robbin Spencer of Charleston, MO, 14 grandchildren including Tomicka Johnson, Phillip Johnson, Nathaniel Dixson, Natasha Dixson, NiGeisha Dixson, Alicia Spencer, Ashley Spencer, Jeremy Spencer,Lathan Harrinton and Emily Booker; 18 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a very special friend and sister, Leora Hamilton of Charleston, MO and a host of other friends, family and associates.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Carolyn Harington, her son, Conderlea Booker, an infant brother, two granddaughters, TiYonda Johnson and Bianca Parks and a grandson, Donte Parks.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.
