Obituary

Jack Feezor

Marshall Eugene "Jack" Feezor, age 79, of Charleston, MO, entered into his eternal home, Wednesday, February 28, 2024, surrounded by family at his home.

Born May 4, 1944, at Cairo, IL, to the late Marshall M. "Buck" Feezor and Audrey Elizabeth Farrenburg Feezor, Jack was a 1962 graduate of Anniston High School. A longtime member of the New Bethel Baptist Church, he had served his Savior as Sunday School Director, Church Trustee, Sunday School Teacher, Royal Ambassador Counselor and Usher.

Jack was very involved in the community, having served as the Mayor of Charleston five different times during his 19 years of service on the Charleston City Council and was currently serving on the board of the Charleston Housing Authority.  He also served on the board of the Charleston Country Club, was a member of the Kiwanis Club, an honorary member of the high school Future Farmers of America (FFA) and served as a delegate for MFA Oil Company for several years.

Jack was a lover of the land and had been a farmer all of his adult life. He at one time loved hunting and fishing, but soon outgrew those for his true love of golfing. He loved going on the golf trips with his buddies.  He had accomplished everything when on May 21, 2009, he had a hole in one. He also shot his age and was so proud of that.

On February 21, 1964, he married Ruth Ann Fox.  They had just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.  Mrs. Feezor survives of the home.

Jack and Ruth Ann were the parents of one daughter, Cindy Lynn (Kyle) Duke, who survive of Charleston.

Also surviving are his two sisters, Glenda Sue (Arnold) McAfee of Charleston and LaWanda Faye (Jay) Bledsoe of Sikeston; also, four nieces and one nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Larry Ross Feezor.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Sunday, March 3, 2024, at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.  Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 4, 2024 at the funeral home chapel with Tim Miller and Randy Thomas officiating.  Eulogies will be offered by Emmett Burke and Joe Sevic.
